The final day of Cezary Poniatowski and Julius Reichel’s solo exhibitions features free admission and a unique opportunity to participate in the collective deinstallation of Kostka exhibition.

On Sunday, with Julius Reichel and curator Ján Gajdušek in attendance, we’ll be dismantling the monumental textile labyrinth at the Kostka Gallery. You’re welcome to join the takedown and take home any pieces of clothing or accessories from the exhibition for free. The remaining clothing, which we’ll sort during the afternoon with Julius Reichel’s assistance, will be donated to the Centrum sociálních služeb (Furniture Bank), NADĚJE (Praha), Farní charita Stodůlky, and Arcidiecézní charita - St. Teresa’s Shelter.

An extensive installation by the Polish artist, in which the gallery is transformed into a surreally ghostly apartment abandoned by its original inhabitants. A microcosm of insects, bacteria, and viruses is quietly taking over all the everyday objects.

The artist floods Kostka with several hundred kilograms of discarded textiles, from which a single monumental object emerges—a mass that embodies the wear and tear and memories of many lives.

Admission to all gallery spaces is free on Sunday, October 4, during regular opening hours.
